Dates for 2024 World Series of Poker Announced
The World Series of Poker Paradise just wrapped up a successful maiden voyage. As the final events concluded on Friday, officials announced the dates for the 2024 WSOP in Las Vegas.
While few details were announced, we do have the dates for the 2024 WSOP Main Event. We also know some of the events confirmed to return to the schedule.
2024 WSOP Dates Announced
On Friday, the dates for the 2024 World Series of Poker Las Vegas were announced. The 2024 WSOP will run from 28 May through 17 July 2024 at Paris Las Vegas and the Horseshoe Las Vegas.
Outside of announcing the dates, we can also confirm the dates for the 2024 WSOP Main Event. The 2024 WSOP Main Event will run from 3 July through 17 July. Last year’s Main Event drew the largest field in history, and WSOP officials hope to set a new record in 2024.
According to Ty Steward, SVP and Executive Director of the World Series of Poker, “There’s not much more that can be said about what a special year 2023 was for the WSOP and the game of poker.”
“But it’s time to turn the page and begin the countdown to 2024. Records are made to be broken. We’re busy on improvements to make sure 2024 is both the biggest and best event in poker history. Mark your calendars and bank those vacation days. We’ll see you in Vegas.”

Main Event Dates Announced
For those looking to play the Main Event, plan to be in Vegas in early July. The 2024 WSOP Main Event will have four starting flights from 3 July through 6 July. Also, late registration will extend through Day 2abc on 7 July and Day 2d on 8th July.
The 2023 WSOP Main Event drew a record 10,043 players. Daniel Weinman was the eventual winner, earning the World Championship bracelet and $12.1 million. This topped the previous record Main Event prize won by Jamie Gold when he won the event in 2006 for $12 million.
While it is too early to know what type of promotions will be held for the 2024 WSOP Main Event, organizers will likely try and find a way to increase participation and set a new all-time record. Complete Schedule Coming in Early January
While the only tournament announced for 2024 was the Main Event, we won’t have to wait long for the complete schedule. Caesars has committed to releasing the full schedule some time in early January. This will break recent tradition as the complete schedule typically comes out in February.
In an announcement on WSOP.com, Caesars announced that fan-favourite tournaments like the Millionaire Maker, Mystery Millions, and the Senior’s Championship will return. It is reasonable to expect popular events like the $50,000 Poker Player’s Championship and the $10k Heads-Up Championship to return.
The big question now is whether the WSOP will expand its schedule as it has done in the last couple of years. In 2023, the WSOP in Vegas had 95 live and 20 online bracelet events. It is reasonable to expect the live portion to reach 100 events with a total number of bracelets between 125 and 130.
With the inclusion of WSOP Online, WSOP Europe, and now WSOP Paradise, we are quickly moving toward a scenario where we could see WSOP 365 – a bracelet for every day of the year. The WSOP “jumped the shark” years ago regarding the number of bracelets offered. One must wonder at what point the series begins to go into irrelevancy.
